Dark Shadows Movie Release Date Announced

It's official, the countdown begins now. The new Dark Shadows feature film, directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp, will be released on May 11, 2012. The news was confirmed last night by producers GK Films on their official Twitter feed. Meanwhile,
IMDB has reported a few more Dark Shadows crew appointments. Chris Petts is attached to the film as a previsualisation artist. His other credits include Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and the revived series of Doctor Who. Codrina Spataru is working as a sculptor for the art department, having previously worked on Sweeney Todd and Hugo Cabret. And finally, Linda Lashley is the costume department's senior seamstress. Her other work includes Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Prometheus.

How strange this announcement came out on Friday the 13th, of all days! Let hope this is a good sign for the success of the movie.
