Movie News Digest

More news about the new Dark Shadows movie continues to emerge as filming approaches. Speaking on her Twitter feed earlier this week, Victoria Winters actress Bella Heathcote posted: "Two weeks to London, very excited..." while Shultz & Wiremu, the fabric dyers working with the Dark Shadows costume department, have tweeted that camera tests have taken place in recent weeks.

Young Barnabas actor Thomas McDonell has spoken again about his Dark Shadows role, this time in an interview with website JustJared: "It's an idea that Tim Burton has had for a long time, because he's a big fan of the original series. I think the movie he's going to make is going to make you aware of the original... self aware?"

And finally, IMDB have reported more crew for the film. Kim Frederiksen has joined the art department as a concept artist. Her previous credits include Clash of the Titans and the upcoming X-Men: First Class. Ailsa Lawson is listed as a prosthetic make-up trainee. Her other work includes the Sherlock Holmes sequel A Game of Shadows.
