New Dark Shadows Movie Tie-In Book Announced

Pomegranate Press has announced that it will be publishing a new Dark Shadows factual book, released to coincide with the forthcoming feature film. Dark Shadows: Return to Collinwood offers an overview of the show's entire history, illustrated throughout with rare photographs.

The 200-page large format paperback will also include behind the scenes anecdotes from Kathryn Leigh Scott (Maggie Evans) and the other cast members who have filmed cameo appearances for the new movie: Jonathan Frid (Barnabas Collins), Lara Parker (Angelique) and David Selby (Quentin Collins), detailing their experiences taking part in the new production.

New Comics Collection Cover Revealed

Hermes Press have unveiled cover artwork for Dark Shadows: The Complete Collection – Volume Four, which continues the series of collector's hardback reprints of the classic 1960s Gold Key comic strips.

The 200-page collection features more digitally restored strips from the latter run of the Dark Shadows comic, complete with supplementary essays, rare photographs and other bonus content. This title, along with the recently announced Volume Five, complete Hermes' Dark Shadows reprint programme.

New Dark Shadows Comic Book Launches


The first issue of Dynamite Comics' new
Dark Shadows comic book is now available. The monthly series follows on from the original television episodes with all new stories. Issue One is available with two covers, seen above. The script is by Dark Shadows News Page editor Stuart Manning, with artwork by Aaron Campbell. The first issue sold out within days of its release and has been reprinted. From the publisher:

New Classic Comics Collections Announced

Hermes Press have announced two new Dark Shadows titles for publication in 2012, as their programme of classic reprints from the Gold Key archives continues.

First up is the final volume of classic Dark Shadows comic reprints, featuring digitally restored artwork and bonus content. Dark Shadows: The Complete Collection – Volume Five is due out on February 14 in hardback, completing the series. February will also see the release of a separate compilation volume aimed at the general market.
